How to fit an image under an upload limit
For a 200 KB maximum
Select 200 KB above, or enter another limit between 10 and 10,000 KB. PixelFit tries to produce a file at or below that limit; the result may be smaller than exactly 200 KB. Check the displayed file size and preview before using the download.
Choose the output your form accepts
For a form that accepts JPG, choose JPEG. It fills transparent areas with white. Choose WebP if you need transparency and the receiving site accepts WebP. You can open a PNG here, but the downloaded file will be JPEG or WebP, not PNG.
Check dimensions as well as file size
A small file is not necessarily the right width and height. PixelFit adjusts compression quality first and may then reduce dimensions to meet your limit. If a form requires an exact pixel size, check the downloaded dimensions; this tool does not set an exact width and height.

Will my image be uploaded?
No. Decoding and compression happen in your browser. PixelFit does not receive your image or filename. Closing this page releases the working image.
Will quality and dimensions stay the same?
JPEG and WebP use lossy compression. We adjust quality first, then reduce dimensions if needed. Inspect small text and fine details before using the download. An identical image is not guaranteed.
What happens to transparency and metadata?
WebP preserves transparency. JPEG fills transparent areas with white. Browser re-encoding does not preserve original metadata, animation or color profiles. Colors may change.
How do I compress an image below 100 KB or 1 MB?
Choose 100 KB or 1,000 KB in the size options, then compress. PixelFit uses decimal units: 1 KB is 1,000 bytes and 1 MB is 1,000 KB. A very small limit can reduce clarity, especially for text.
Why is my compressed image still rejected?
Check the receiving site’s allowed formats, dimensions and other image requirements. File size alone is not enough. If the site requires PNG output or exact dimensions, you will need a tool that supports those requirements.
Can I compress several images at once?
PixelFit currently processes one image at a time. Download the result before choosing the next image, and keep your original in case you want to try a different size or format.
