How to use

  1. Enter words or import TXT, then review their normalized spelling.
  2. Set the grid, directions and filler, then generate or try a new layout.
  3. Try the puzzle, inspect the key, and download worksheet/answers or save settings.

Before you start

1–30 words, one per line; 2–24 cells per normalized word, grid 8–24 square. English A–Z, Spanish ÁÉÍÓÚÜÑ and Chinese Han characters. Uppercase and Unicode NFC are applied; spaces, hyphens and straight/curly apostrophes are removed. Other symbols are rejected, not silently deleted. Exact normalized duplicates are rejected. Example: ice cream becomes ICECREAM; montaña becomes MONTAÑA. Easy places right/down; medium adds both downward diagonals; hard allows all eight directions. Sharing identical letters is optional. Filler uses English, Spanish or the supplied words’ character set. Random filler can create extra occurrences or unintended words; no dictionary filter or unique-solution guarantee. The key marks one generated placement per word. A seeded heuristic tries up to 40 layouts; missing words stay visible and block worksheet export. Increase size or reduce words if incomplete. The layout number reproduces this implementation; save JSON to reopen settings, then generate. TXT input UTF-8 up to 20 KB, JSON up to 40 KB; no automatic storage or uploads. Student SVG contains the grid and word bank, with no embedded solution paths. Printable HTML includes a separate answer page, A4/Letter; use your browser to print. Paper and fonts may vary. Online play uses two endpoints on a straight horizontal, vertical or diagonal line, in either selection order. Any occurrence matching a listed word is accepted; progress stays only in this tab.
