Before you start
Microphone permission and a compatible browser are required. One recording at a time, up to 10 minutes of active recording or 50 MB; paused time is excluded. Keep the page open and the device awake: background or screen locking may interrupt capture or delay the limit check. Download before leaving; nothing is saved automatically or uploaded. Native container and codec depend on the browser. WAV and MP3 are re-encoded at 44.1 kHz in stereo (mono is duplicated), up to 10 minutes; MP3 is lossy and a higher bitrate cannot restore detail. If conversion fails, keep the native download. Example: record 30 seconds, pause, resume for 20 seconds to make about 50 seconds of audio. This records the microphone, not system sound, and does not transcribe, remove noise or edit clips. The meter is an input indication, not calibrated loudness.
