Before you start
Up to 20 TXT files per import, 5 MB total imported bytes, 200 chapters, 1 MB of UTF-8 text per chapter and 5 MB of book text. Choose the correct encoding: UTF-8, UTF-16, GB18030 or Windows-1252; changing it affects the next import, not existing chapters. Heading detection is a heuristic for short Chinese chapter lines, Chapter/Part and Capítulo/Parte with numbers or Roman numerals, and #/## headings. Review the chapter list; ordinary text can resemble a heading. Imports append and replace only an untouched empty starter; failed files leave successful files intact. Plain text only: no Word/PDF/EPUB import, rich text, inline images, tables, footnotes, embedded fonts or DRM. A JPG/PNG/WebP cover up to 20 MB and 40 million pixels becomes a white-backed JPEG with longest side at most 1600px, up to 3 MB. Book language en/zh/es; two paragraph modes. Reading preview shows the first 12,000 characters of the selected chapter; export includes all text. Example: a TXT containing Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 becomes two editable chapters and a linked table of contents. Pagination and font rendering vary by reader. Editable JSON includes the cover, up to 20 MB; save before closing. No automatic saving or uploads.
